I bought this as a travel clock radio. However, when you go to bed at night you cannot have the radio on if you wish to set the alarm! It has one sliding switch which operates both the radio and alarm. While the radio works okay for such a small item and the alarm seems dependable, it is not that useful if you cannot use both together.

the on switch is a bit sensitive. You have to slowly move it but overall it works fine.

Customer Review: Great weather station
As indicated by others, it worked right out of the box. I’m not enamored by the bright blue lights on the side that cannot be turned off. I might cover them up but other than that, it works as advertised. It took less than a minute to sync up with the FM signal but that is probably because I am well within coverage range.

I hope the FM signal continues past 2010. If not, hopefully there will be many users who will send emails asking for the signal to continue.

Although we really like the looks of the clock and it’s functions, it is does not glow in the dark so you can’t read it unless you hit a button and speaking of hitting buttons it tends to be less user friendly and it is a pain to program. I would not recommend this or buy another one!

somehow drops link to wireless router - but so does my laptop so nothing new there… Sounds good, lacks any sound equalising functions…

Customer Review: Volume control button does not work
I had read the reviews of this product being defective and took the suggestion of a fellow reviewer and ordered from another seller(Cincynow). Well I got a bad one as well. The volume button does not work on the radio. I do not recommend using another reseller as their return policy is not the same as Amazon’s on defective merchandise. You have to pay the shipping to return item. YOu do not get reimbursed by the seller for that additonal shipping charge. However, with Amazon they send you out a paid sticker to re-send the item back in the mail. At least my seller-Cincynow does not reimburse it. I found it very insulting in their email to me that they would have to test it out before they process the refund. If they had tested it out before selling and sending it I wouldn’t have this problem. I won’t make that mistake again.

Customer Review: they dont make ‘em like they used to
I needed to replace an old GE clock radio that still worked fine except it was difficult to set the time without it racing through the numbers. I had this clock for years as had my mother before me. It seemed a shame to replace it for just that but as I frequently need to change the wake up time, I decided to look for something else. I also wanted something smaller. I read the mixed reviews on this clock radio and was ambivalent about purchasing it, but as it was the smallest I could find and small is what I needed, I decided to go for it. Upon first look, I could see that it is not built with the same quality as that old GE–the materials seem cheaper, the knobs flimsier. The sound from the radio is fair. The light up dial even on its dimmest is too bright but I am getting used to it–but then I have to turn the face of the clock at an angle so it doesn’t shine right in my face. If you like having a night light, this might work well for you. I have not plugged my MP3 player into it so cannot say how that function performs. It is easy to set the time and I like that. I also like that the snooze button covers the top of the radio so it is easy to get to. I was going to take my old GE to the thrift store but I have decided to hang on to it. I may need it again some day. They don’t make like they used to.

Customer Review: two units last less than 6 months each
The first one of these I purchased lasted 6 months. One day I could not turn off the alarm. Even unplugging it didn’t reset it, when I plugged it back in the alarm was still going. I had to pay to return it, a month later I got a replacement. This one would occationally go off at the wrong time, usually the middle of the night. At first I figured it must be me setting it wrong, but it happened too often and a sometimes when I had not change the alarm time from the day before. Eventually I was awake enough when it went off to check the set time while it was still ringing, and it’s wasn’t me it was going off at the wrong time. By the time I gave up and decide to try to return it is was with in days of the end of the 1 year warrantee. After two bad radios I didn’t want to waste more time and the cost of shipping it back to get another 6 months of use. And I could not trust a alarm clock that didn’t wake me up at the right time. The company would only send a replacement, no refund. So I tosssed it. Over $50 is too expensive for a throw away item that last 6 months at best. And the $8+ shipping to return was just jacking up the cost. Skip this one.

I bought my 6 year old a 4th Generation iPod Nano and also bought this docking station. I had to take it back because it can play the music but CANNOT charge the iPod. I found out through tech support that this only supports 2nd Generation iPod Nano’s and older.

Customer Review: Almost, but not quite
I bought this clock about 8 weeks ago. It would be nearly perfect for me except for one major thing (although it *might* just be a ‘bad’ clock I got, and not an issue with every one):

The buttons on the top of my clock are *EXTREMELY* touchy. If you even just lightly brush or even just blow on the ‘Nap’ or ‘Snooze’ buttons, it engages that function. And now, as a further symptom of that same ‘touchiness’, when my radio alarm turns on, it will turn itself off and back on at random intervals in the hour it is supposed to run. Yikes. So, now I need an alarm clock I can trust, and don’t have the box or receipt to return this one, so I have to eat it.

I also noticed as some other folks did that it only picks up the strongest radio stations without a static hiss, no matter how I arrange the power cord.

If I didn’t have the button issue, and the intermittent alarm issue, I would give it a ‘5′ at the price.

I bought this item because I was looking for an alarm clock with certain features. A loud alarm, the set time always shows, easily set. I could not find this in a stand alone clock, so I bought a clock radio. The radio has a poor tinny tone and I never turn it on. So I’m happy with the clock and just ignore the radio and the price was right, a savings of $15 over an identical unit from another source.

I love this thing. It’s neat looking, easy to use and has lots of great features. Best of all, it has a humane wakeup system, which means it starts out very low and gradually increases the volume. The analog face is easy to read at night and the light level adjusts itself. The digital clock sets itself automatically. The digital radio tuner means it is accurate to the station instead of all this fiddling around with knobs like on so many clock radios. Reception is excellent. So far, I’m just thrilled with it.
