Customer Review: Work Like a Charm
These work wonderfully – so well in fact that I just bought a pair for everyone in the family, and three more for myself (they get lost at a rate of about one every other year). Specifically, they are very smooth, and when you cut big branches (I have big hands and am strong) the blade does not bind against the metal stop on the other side and get damaged. I would stongly recommend their loppers as well for this very reason. At the other extreme, my mom (with arthritis) just called and said they are much easier on her hands than others, and that she likes them as well.

Corona Clipper 12-Foot Compound Action Tree Pruner #TP 3841 The Corona Clipper 12-foot compound-action tree pruner is a versatile tool that gives you the combined benefits of a saw and bypass pruner for fast, easy pruning; the telescoping fiberglass pole adjusts to precisely the right length for small, medium or larger trees. Pass-thru shearing action drives a blade sharpened on both sides directly through the center of the hook, giving you more even cutting power and resisting the binding common with side-mounted blades. The fully heat-treated, Teflon-coated cutlery steel blade easily prunes branches up to 1 inch in diameter, while the 13-inch conventional saw blade can be used to remove larger limbs. The pruning head is made of die cast zinc alloy for added durability, and the pruner features a compound-action pulley system that increases your leverage and triples your cutting power. The strong, lightweight fiberglass pole telescopes to 12 feet with an infinitely adjustable twist-lock extender and non-pinching twistlock adjustment. The unique internal stop prevents the inner pole from separating from the outer pole. The pole features a comfortable non-slip 24-inch cushioned grip to relieve hand and muscle stress.
Customer Review: Unhappy pruner
I purchased this pruner after my 22 years with my old pruner. We have a lot of trees, & the pruner gets used 4 to 5 times a year. This pruner constantly plugs, so I have to manually open the jaws. The screw holding the saw in place stripped & I cannot use the saw now. A very poor pruner for the price.. The handle is lightweight, so I now have an extension for my apple picker. Still looking for a new pruner.
Customer Review: It isn’t a bad tool, and the manufacturer’s guarantee is solid.
I don’t garden. But i have several over-grown trees that requrie cutting back to keep them from my roof and to allow some sunlight onto the ground cover, which is why i bought this tool. Last year, I kept it outside for months in direct sunlight and didn’t take care of it, so the cord rotted and frayed. Remembering it was guaranteed, I took it to a local hardware store who asked no questions and replaced it (the entire tool, not just the cord). It has served me well, so I now make sure to treat it well. I clean and oil it after each use because if i don’t it tends to stick and and jam. It’s not the sturdiest, but it isn’t a bad tool, and the manufacturer’s guarantee is solid.

Gerber 46903 Hunter’s Pruner – Ratcheting Pruner HUNTERS PRUNER, RATCHETING PRUNER
Customer Review: Cheap Toy — Don’t Waste Your Money!
This design is a joke. The pruner broke the very first time I tried to use it. The cheap plastic flat opposing piece snapped in two while trying to cut a small branch well within the size limitations! There is only a single blade crushing against a plastic opposing side. There is no shearing effect at all, just a crushing against cheap plastic by a single dull blade! I expected two metal blades, or, at the very least, a metal opposing side that wouldn’t break the first time I used it. Don’t waste your money. If you still don’t believe me, find one at your local hardware store that you can at least take back without having to pay for return shipping when it breaks! I wouldn’t recommend this for hunters or rose pruners or anyone!
